Dans le cadre d’une mobilité croisée avec un lycée autrichien de Klagenfurt, 15 élèves de la section européenne anglais ont eu la chance de découvrir Bruxelles.

Ce séjour, rendu possible grâce au programme Erasmus+, a débuté par un trajet en TGV, RER et Thalys avant leur installation en auberge de jeunesse.

Au programme : une immersion dans la culture belge avec la visite du centre de la bande dessinée, du musée du chocolat et du musée Magritte. Ils ont également découvert les institutions européennes en visitant le Parlamentarium et le musée de l’Histoire européenne. Une rencontre enrichissante avec une étudiante stagiaire en Master 2 au bureau de représentation de la région PACA leur a permis d’échanger sur les opportunités en Europe.

Côté incontournables, ils ont pu voir le Manneken-Pis et l’Atomium. Et bien sûr, pas de voyage en Belgique sans goûter aux spécialités locales ! Gaufres, cuberdons, frites et sandwich pistolet étaient au rendez-vous.

Les échanges avec les correspondants autrichiens ont été rythmés par des jeux pour apprendre à se connaître, un jeu de piste depuis la Grand-Place et de nombreuses découvertes partagées.

Pour finir en beauté, une soirée bowling a été organisée le jeudi soir, histoire de se dire au revoir dans la bonne humeur !

Erasmus+ mobility

As part of a cross-mobility program with an Austrian high school in Klagenfurt, 15 students from the European English section had the chance to discover Brussels.

The trip, made possible thanks to the Erasmus+ program, began with a trip by TGV, RER and Thalys before settling into a youth hostel.

The program included an immersion in Belgian culture, with visits to the Comic Strip Center, the Chocolate Museum and the Magritte Museum. They also discovered European institutions, visiting the Parlamentarium and the Museum of European History. An enriching meeting with a Master 2 trainee at the PACA region’s representative office enabled them to discuss opportunities in Europe.

On the must-see side, they were able to see Manneken-Pis and the Atomium. And of course, no trip to Belgium is complete without a taste of the local specialties ! Waffles, cuberdons, French fries and pistol sandwiches were all on the menu.

Exchanges with the Austrian correspondents included games to get to know each other, a treasure hunt from the Grand-Place, and many shared discoveries.

To round off the evening, a bowling party was organized on Thursday evening, to say goodbye in good spirits !
